Those who have followed along over the years will know that I usually find a cause to dedicate my birthday to. My husband and I happen to share the same birthday. So, this time, we are doubling up and both dedicating the day to homeless pets.
How Will We Help Homeless Pets?
Our craft shop always donates a portion of proceeds to local animal shelters in an effort to help homeless pets. We are hoping to sell more than usual in the month of May in order to benefit homeless pets. Our birthday is May 8th. But we want to give a good amount of time to raise funds for the pets. So, we are dedicating the whole month to this cause.
How Can You Help?
Simple. Anyone who purchases earrings, bracelets or anklets, rings, necklaces, dog toys, or cloth diapers from Crafts For A Purpose will be helping. As always, a portion of proceeds will be donated to local animal shelters. You can also share this post with your friends and colleagues. The more people who see it, the more we can raise to help out shelter animals. Remember, that items are priced low to sell the most items to help more animals and shipping is always FREE.
COUPON for a FREE Item!
Those who make a purchase to help homeless pets in the month of May 2017 will get one item (of equal or lesser value) for FREE for every two items they purchase. To redeem this offer, simply send the message "HELP PETS COUPON" to Crafts For A Purpose on Facebook and we will reply ASAP with order instructions.
How Much Are We Donating?
That depends on how much we can sell. We will be donating the usual ten percent of proceeds from each sale. In addition, for each item sold, we will make a dog or cat toy to donate to the shelter as well. Yes, we realize this doesn't leave us with much profit after materials cost and shipping. But the animals are worth it! We are not setting an exact goal, except to say the larger, the better because then we can help more homeless pets out with funds and toys.
Meet Our Furry Rescued Pets!
Not only do we like to help out animal shelters, but we also practice what we preach, helping to adopt and/or rehome animals in need whenever we can. These are just some of the pets our family has rescued from the shelters or other unfortunate situations. There have been many over the years. But these are three of the ones who became part of the family.
