The Worshippers were pretty good in Limited, where fliers often rule the day. It was a pretty strong pick in Theros/Born of the Gods draft and was definitely something good to see in sealed play, as well. The fact that it only requires one blue for its casting cost and its Inspired ability makes it splash-able in a wide variety of builds. Also, being a 2/4 means that it can often swing freely in combat, meaning that its Inspired trigger will occur far more often.
While 3 mana is a good deal for a Bird in Limited, though, the Worshippers aren't really a creature deal in Constructed decks. This creature doesn’t really have a regular home in Commander, which is sad. However, on rare occasions, Phenax, God of Deception decks will play the Worshippers. This is because Phenax gives every other creature you have in play the ability to send a number of cards from an opponent's deck to their graveyard equal to the toughness of that creature. While 4 toughness isn't that high, it isn't a terrible choice for that deck, since you get that Inspired ability, too. It's not the optimal choice for any constructed deck, but it works in a pinch in Phenax or Derevi, Empyrial Tactician decks that love to tap.
