Is Bonescythe Sliver a part of that Sliver puzzle? It’s certainly possible. Having a casting cost of 3W makes it pretty easy to play with Manaweft Sliver giving you the ability to make all of your Slivers produce rainbow mana. Double strike is quite relevant, as well, and with how quickly Slivers can mass an attack, this could help you stage a finishing blow.
The most important part of the new Sliver cards from M14 is that unlike older Sliver cards, which affected all Sliver cards on the battlefield (possibly including even your opponent’s), these new cards affect only your Sliver cards. This means that in Sliver mirrors, if you can get the more powerful effects on the board before your opponent can, you likely have the game won. Having double striking Slivers is certainly one way to do that.
I think people will find a way to stick at least one copy of this card in a Sliver deck. White isn’t going to be a big color for Slivers, but even if this is the only White card in your deck (besides perhaps Hive Stirrings which may or may not be good enough for Constructed), it will still be very playable, and possibly a prelude to an inevitable Win Target Game scenario.
