MTG Commander - Haakon, Stromgald Scourge

Up until Commander 2015, you couldn’t ever cast Haakon, Stromgald Scourge as your Commander. However, the land Command Beacon from Commander 2015 made it possible to put your commander directly into your hand. It’s still going to be a rarity, though, since you literally have only one way to gain access to him.

Haakon is pretty cool, though. If he’s on the battlefield, you get to play Knight cards from your graveyard. Also, if he ever dies, you can choose to let him go to the graveyard instead of letting him go to the Command Zone. This means he’ll pretty much always cost 3 mana. When he dies, you do lose 2 life, but that’s a small price to pay to be able to play Black Knight tribal!

So what would a Haakon deck look like? Much like this! It has the best Knights available, a few Changelings, and a way to give all your creatures persist!
