A Black Butterfly

A black butterfly
Beautiful, elegant
Gracefully floating

Always rising
Will not fall
Ever changing with the wind



Using it to fuel her wings
Trusting it to steer her right
For her path is far and wide


Steadily climbing
Again and again
Floating and fluttering

Smelling the roses
So soft and sweet
Lacking worry or hate or fear

Living in the moment
While soaring to the next
Cherishing life's nectar

You cannot bring her down
She refuses
But gracefully
