Use a homemade sugar scrub. When you scrub your feet daily with a natural moisturizing foot scrub, it takes away the dead skin, while hydrating the healthy skin. This is a necessary process in keeping your feet looking their best. I find the best results when using all three of the recipes for silky soft feet one after the other before bed at night. To make the homemade sugar scrub for your feet, blend ¼ cup each of white sugar and sweet almond oil. Then, add six drops of orange essential oil and one drop of ginger essential oil. Lastly, stir in one teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper. The sugar scrubs, as well moisturizes, the oils moisturize, and the cayenne pepper helps reduce swelling after a long day.
Hydrate the feet while you sleep. The last step involves a homemade foot moisturizer. You can use any lotion for this step but the process works best by using the homemade mixture. Mash one or two strawberries to make about two tablespoons. Stir in one tablespoon of olive oil, two tablespoons of coconut oil, 5 drops of 100% tea tree oil, and one vitamin E capsule. Massage the mixture into your feet. Place your socks on directly afterward and leave them on all night. When you remove them in the morning, you'll have silky soft skin on your feet. If necessary, you can also moisturize with this blend in the morning, omitting the sock portion.
