5 Celebrities Who Hire Family Members To Care For Their Children

While many celebrities hire professional nannies to care for their children, several have turned to family members for this service. Not only are family members more likely to bond with the children, but there is no need to implement background checks or go through the daunting task of trying to find a stranger that the celebrity would be willing to trust with his or her child. Below is a list of five celebrities who have made the choice to turn a family member into a caregiver for their child.

Jessica Alba

According to Radar Online, Jessica Alba has chosen to employ two of her cousins to care for daughters Honor and Haven. Jessica is currently married to Cash Warren, and in addition to being a well-known actress, she also runs The Honest Company, a line of eco-friendly products that parents can feel good about using on their babies.

Jennifer Lopez is a proud mom to twins Max and Emme, whom she had with ex-husband Marc Anthony. I don't think there is anything that Jennifer Lopez doesn't do with dancing, singing, acting, writing, and fashion designing as just a few of the titles to her credit. Jennifer also works as executive producer on the television show The Fosters. With so many hats to wear, Jennifer requires help raising her children. That's where mom, Guadalupe, steps in to offer assistance. Guadalupe lives with Jennifer and the kids providing help when needed.

As one of the stars of the popular series The Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik is quite busy. As the mother of two boys, Miles and Frederick, relies on her ex-husband Michael Stone to care for the boys while she is working.

Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves have a total of three children, Levi, Vida, and Livingston, raising all of them without the help of a nanny. Just like Jennifer Lopez, the couple had Camila's mother move into their home to help care for the children when they are working. Matthew continues to work as a busy actor, while Camila continues to work as a model.
