This has been my best New Years' Eve ever. Of course, I'm getting to spend it with the most incredible woman in the world, Lyn Lomasi. If you're reading this website, it's very likely that you know who she is. Well, soon enough, I plan to make her my wife. Our story is quite an incredible one. We met four months ago online through a Facebook group chat set up by a mutual friend. I never could have imagined spending New Years' Eve with my new best friend that I made that afternoon. Yet here I am with her sitting next to me while I compose this first blog post of 2015.
I am trying to decide what exactly constitutes a page. I decided to consult Twitter for guidelines. But it seems that there really isn't a guideline that I can see. You just sort of write as if each day of the year is a chapter in the book of your life. It's a pretty awesome concept, honestly. Not a new one, exactly. I've considered doing Blog-a-Days before, but I could never find a way to commit to them.
You may not know this, but on December 14th, 2014, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in my chest. Fortunately, it's only at Stage One and hasn't spread. It's also very treatable. However, the chemotherapy treatments are going to take a ton out of me. I haven't had much focus to write lately. I managed to write a post a couple days ago, as well as a post yesterday. But for a prolific writer such as myself, it's been extremely hard and frustrating for me not to express myself. I'm someone who always has a lot to say, but my ability to compose recently has been hindered by the harsh chemical reactions created by the chemo that I've received already. Fortunately, I'm taking a bit of a break from it now due to the fact that one of the treatments has been hitting me really hard.
I'm a very stubborn person, though, and I'm doing all I can to work through it. But lately I've been reduced to poking around online rewards sites such as Swagbucks, Chatabout, and a few others that aren't really doing anything for me. I also have been getting back into using the auction site Listia, and actually already sold something small on it today.
Sorry that this has been a bit rambling. I'll be adding to this chapter as the day goes on, I'm sure. Not much has happened so far today except that our rickety DSL internet connection has been fading in and out for Lyn. She's been getting pretty frustrated trying to do work and getting interrupted. So we'll be heading to bed in a bit as we could use a little shuteye, especially me! Maybe I'll be better composed when I wake up!
Postscript: Decided to end this page and write more topically for the rest of the day. Page 2 of 365 coming tomorrow.
