I saw this quote last night and immediately said to myself that this is the perfect way to begin Page 2 of 2015. Every day is a new place for ideas - that is for sure. Once one day is gone, the next is always wide open for new opportunities. I must say that yesterday was quite a productive day. I finally was able to be composed enough to get Lyn and I's story out into the world. It had been revised about a billion times before I realized that the first half of it really should have been it's own post in the first place.
In case you missed them:
Stay Positive, But Don't Pretend To Be When You're Not! - the original first half of our story post that really should have been its own post in the first place!
Stay Positive - Someone Special is Out There For You - Our actual story :)
I also wrote another post which was going to be part of Page 1 but I decided it deserved its own post: The End of a New Years' Eve Tradition & the Beginning of a New Tradition
Suffice it to say I was very prolific yesterday. i also managed to get up an old poem and two Gaming Articles, as well. To be fair, I know my energy level won't stay this high much longer, but since I have no chemotherapy this week (long story) I need to get as much writing done as I can.
My productivity was hurt a bit yesterday by the Ethernet adapter on my desktop computer - my personal server - finally crapping out on me. I'd rather not move everything ever onto my VAIO, which is why I set up the bridge server in the first place, but now that's going to become a static storage server, which is a bummer. So I'll have to flash drive the rest of the stuff off of our old Home Server.
Back to what I was saying about ideas, I have a couple of ideas to implement today. One of them is getting back to doing Sports Break. I've still been following baseball fairly closely but I haven't felt like writing sports articles since everyone else and their dog writes them these days. So I've decided for now, especially with my focus about to be shot again when chemo resumes the week of Jan. 12th to do a "Top 8" every day of top news in certain subjects. Usually it will be a MLB top 8, since that sport is definitely my specialty. But if I find 8 deserving articles for the NFL or another sport, I'll do that. Actually, I'll probably be doing a TON of curation posts that are Top 8's. 8 is Lyn's favorite number, and it also happens to be the number that our mutual friend Sandra Lynn uses in her work over at Informed Sharing. I don't think she'll mind!
I have a few other ideas rattling around in my head that I want to implement today, including doing some work on trying to vitalize the Write W.A.V.E. Media forums! Yes, we have forums. And they are awesome. So you should become a writer on Write W.A.V.E. Media and join us on there!
Not to toot my own horn, but I'm very excited for Write W.A.V.E. Media in 2015! Lyn and I have so many ideas, and hopefully I'll be able to retain enough focus to at least get them down and in the queue.
How did your New Years' Day go?
