Decided to be pretty lazy yesterday. It basically ended up being a movie watching day with The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies being the feature. But first, we got a late lunch at Olive Garden. I got cheese ravioli and Lyn got the lasagna. We shared the house salad which I ate a lot of. Lyn had all of the pepperoncinis and most of the olives. The service was great, though the waiter, great as he was, went a little overboard on the grated parmesan. But it was wonderful.
We ended up watching four movies in all yesterday, starting with the last Hobbit movie. It's a good conclusion to the series, but I greatly suggest at least watching the second movie, The Desolation of Smaug, shortly before this one because the third one picks up immediately after that one’s conclusion.
We also watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, which is on Netflix. Like the Hobbit movies you really want to see the previous movie. Although they explain the back story at the beginning of the sequel you probably wouldn't enjoy it as much without seeing the first. I think I liked the first one better as this one was even more over the top than the first. But if you liked the first then I definitely recommend this one.
The other ones we watched were Joe, with Nicholas Cage, and Knights of Badassdom, which had Peter Dinklage in it. Joe was kind of a sad movie and the other was extremely over the top violent in a comical way. It had an awesome crazy ending, though.
I also happened to buy into a new deck on Magic Online. It only cost me about 9 bucks which is awesome considering that the price of the cards in that deck were shooting up. This was it due to being featured in an article on a popular site, the same article that gave me the idea to go out and get it. Fortunately, I know how to shop for Magic Online cards so I was able to buy most of the deck at the old price before the cheaper copies had been bought out. Had I bought the cards earlier in the day, I would have only saved maybe 2 dollars.
Not the most eventful day for me, but Lyn got a ton accomplished, including a rather unique set of earrings for Crafting to Help Homeless Pets and publishing some articles on Life Successfully. Probably won’t do a ton on Wednesday, either. Kind of having a lazy week, and we end up going out every day for something anyway.
