Clary Sage Essential Oil Sugar Scrub
When it comes to DIY essential oil remedies for stress and anxiety, clary sage is near the top of many lists. It helps kill germs, while also aiding in the relief of stress and anxiety. To make your own DIY essential oil sugar scrub, you’ll need 6 tablespoons of organic fair trade sugar, 4 teaspoons of sweet almond oil, and fifteen drops of clary sage essential oil. Mix these in a glass jar and use to scrub your body up to twice daily. This can help with fighting stress and anxiety at the end of the day or any time.
Chamomile and Lavender Calming Face Rub
Lavender and chamomile are two DIY essential oil remedies for fighting stress and anxiety that are commonly used together. This is because their calming effects complement each other well. To make a DIY calming face rub, all you need is coconut oil or olive oil and 8 drops each of chamomile essential oil and lavender essential oil. If you use coconut oil, make sure it’s organic and unrefined. Stir the ingredients in a glass jar until well blended. Rub into the face up to twice daily for calming benefits. As a bonus, this is also great for anti aging and moisturizing.
Invigorating Citrus Body Spray
All of the citrus essential oils are great for anxiety, stress relief, and even depression. These oils are very uplifting and help to create a feeling of happiness. As a bonus, they also kill germs and smell great. To make your invigorating citrus body spray, simply fill a personal sized metal spray bottle almost to the fill line with water. Next, add 8 drops each of grapefruit essential oil, lemon essential oil, and wild orange essential oil. Shake and then spray on the body as you would any other body spray. This is a fun way to get your aromatherapy in. The body spray can be applied a few times per day.
Vetiver Ankle, Wrist, and Muscle Rub
Vetiver may well be one of the best DIY essential oil remedies for fighting stress and anxiety. Not only is it calming, but it also has anti inflammatory, stress relief, pain relief, anxiety, and sedative properties. It also can help create an uplifting mood. To create a muscle, ankle, and wrist rub with this essential oil, simply place 8 drops per ounce of organic unrefined coconut oil in a small jar. When you’re feeling down, you can rub a little on your ankles and wrists for aromatherapy. If you’re also experiencing muscle aches and other pains, you can also apply the rub to the affected area. This can be used up to twice daily as needed.

Stress can have different affects on the human body, which is why there is not a one medication or approach to handling mental stresses in life. Some people try using stress management techniques, but they don’t always work. Whenever, you are in the stressful situation, sometimes these techniques you have learned will help. Other times, they don’t work and you may get angry at the situation you are in that is causing stress or depression.
Therefore, there are other tips and tricks that someone can try, in order to relieve their anxiety or stress. The stress management techniques focus on helping a person change themselves or their situation whenever they can. However, sometimes a person cannot change a major stressor in their life for some reason. These situations can cause too much stress and anxiety, which may lead to a depressive mood.
A person needs to change their way of thinking and behavior, when learning healthier ways to cope with the situation. They begin by changing their thoughts, their lifestyle, emotions, and the way the react to certain situations. However, some people need other ways to alleviate stress like: physical activity, keeping a journal, medication, and prayer or spiritual help. Keeping a stress journal can help the patient or the doctor to discover exactly what the stress triggers are and how they can avoid those stresses all together.
Some people will need medication to help their anxiety level, while others can do simple breathing exercises. Many people just need to take time out of their busy day and stop to relax while smelling the roses. The patient can get on the right treatment plan and start their journey towards feeling better. Additionally, the patient’s mental health and stress level can make them sick and cause other issues like: anxiety or depression.
A person should never be afraid to ask for help, because they just might find healthier ways to handle stressful situations. Learning new coping techniques can help lessen the stress level that a person is dealing with. An overwhelming stress can affect a person’s mental and physical health, but exercise and learning healthy coping skills can help alleviate stress. Therefore, it is important for people of all ages to see a doctor, whenever they are feeling overwhelmed by the stresses in their life.
