Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, saw his wealth hit $105.1 billion on January 9th, 2018, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This officially makes Bezos the richest person in the world, passing Bill Gates. The new wealth comes from a very strong start to 2018 by Amazon, with Amazon stocks up 6.6 percent since the beginning of the year.
Not only is Bezos the world’s richest person now, but when you account for inflation, he’s one of the richest people in history. Will he ever catch up to the vast wealth of the richest person of all time, John D. Rockefeller? Who knows! The Author’s Thoughts on Jeff Bezos Becoming the Richest Person in the World Today I’ve long been a fan of Amazon, so this news is fine with me. Bezos has built quite an empire with Amazon and his quest towards world domination is well underway… OK, not really, but he’s doing pretty well with his company. Bezos seems to make all the right decisions, especially when it comes to purchasing companies to build the Amazon brand further. Of course, becoming the richest person in the world comes with a whole new set of expectations. Especially, most especially, when it comes to charity. So it will be interesting to see how Bezos proceeds in 2018 with this news. If I had this sort of money, I’m 100 percent positive that I would be sharing it with fellow rising entrepreneurs to build their own businesses from the ground up. I know a lot of people do this already, but I would do it probably to an extreme. Also, I’d probably feel no hesitation in just handing money to those who I know need it... But, you have to be careful and responsible, because even 100 billion dollars can disappear very quickly if you’re not cautious. Still, I would help anyone that I could. With great wealth comes great responsibility, but I think Jeff Bezos can handle it. * The Author was in no way compensated for these thoughts, as these are simply the Author’s own opinions. You have every right to disagree, and the Author would love to hear your own thoughts!

By, Crystal S. Kauffman , Contributing Writer Minnesota officials has finally learned what had happened to the 11-year-old, Jacob Wetterling, who was abducted on October 22, 1989 from St. Joseph. According to StarTribune, Jacob was riding home from a convenience store with his brother and his best friend when a masked gunman forced Jacob into his car and handcuffed him. His brother and friend were told to run or he would shoot them also. Tragically, on September 3rd, 2016, local authorities announced that they had in fact found Jacob’s remains on a farm in Paynesville, Minnesota.
Jacob Wetterling was sexually assaulted and killed on the same night he disappeared. The killer Danny Heinrich confessed to burying him and later after moving his remains to the farm where he led investigators. According to CBS Minnesota, Jacob’s mother became a national child advocate and helped create the Jacob Wetterling Act that Congress passed in 1994. This law requires anyone who is arrested and convicted of being a sexual offender must register with their state law enforcement. In addition, Jacob’s mother, Patty Wetterling, also created the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center. In 2015, Danny Heinrich becomes a “Person of Interest” after being arrested on unrelated child pornography charges. However, he denied his involvement in Jacob’s abduction on October 22, 1989. According CBS Minnesota, a confession from Danny Heinrich in a plea deal has given Jacob’s family the answer that they have hoped for over the last 27 years. The killer’s confession led to Jacob’s remains and he was later positively identified by DNA. He will face 20 years in prison as a results of the plea deal for the pornography charges, but he will not face justice for killing Jacob. (Click photos for full view - more info below the gallery) The recall involves the Munchkin Latch Lightweight Pacifier & Clip that were sold together as a matching set. They were sold in 5 different designs. This includes the 0m+ natural shape pacifiers in designer, rattle and heartbeat styles. It also includes the 6m+ orthodontic pacifiers in designer and rattle styles. All of them are pictured above.
The reason for the recall is that there have been 10 reports of the clip cover detaching from the pacifier clip. This can pose a choking hazard. So far, there have been no reports of injuries. But, due to the choking hazard, the Munchkin company is voluntarily recalling these items. If your baby is still using these pacifiers, take them away immediately and contact Munchkin for a free replacement or full refund. You can call them at 877-242-3134 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or visit their website. The pacifiers were sold at Babies R Us, Target, Walmart, Amazon, and many other retailers both on and offline between March 2014 and March 2016 for about $11 - $15 each. By, Crystal S. Meet a Volunteer: Kakande Muhamad
I am Kakande Muhamad and I am a volunteer, who is running the Reallife Orphanage Home. I am a native thirty-two-year-old, who is currently caring for twenty children. Additionally, I am working with several volunteers to care for these lovely children. Some of these children have lost their parents in the war, some were abandoned, and others lost their parents to illnesses like HIV/AIDS. These children are vulnerable and need sponsors to get the daily food, as well as medications or school items. Our Mission at the Orphanage As volunteers our mission is to provide, love, support, and daily care for the vulnerable children in the slum communities near our orphanage. Our long term goal is to find each child a permanent home and someone to love them. Currently, we need sponsors that can help us keep the orphanage open, as well as help provide these children with their daily needs. We need food that will not perish like beans, maize, rice, and other foods that help nourish these precious children. How I Began Helping These Special Kids I was born and grew up in Bwaise neighborhood which is a slum, but during this time I saw many children die for many reasons. I have seen children thrown into water channels or drainage systems, which hurt me deeply, because these poor children died. Unfortunately, I have also seen other children living in old broken down houses and along the streets. These children would sleep wherever they could sleep and I wanted to do something to help the orphans in my own community. After seriously soul searching, I decided to open an orphanage, which does not turn these vulnerable children and babies away. However, I need to have sponsors to help me keep the orphanage open and caring for these special children. We must pay house rent, as well as get the daily things children need like food and bathing supplies. The children’s sponsors will also help buy clothes, mosquito nets (Malaria Protection), medicine, and educational needs.
Meet Baby Hope
This little girl is fourteen-months-old and she is known as baby Hope. She is currently living at the Reallife Home Orphanage and no one knows who her parents are. Sadly, baby Hope was found late at night and she was lying curled up next to a toilet in a Kampala, Uganda neighborhood called Bwaise. This run down neighborhood is known for prostitution and sex workers. She was alone and desperately needed help, so the volunteers brought her to the orphanage, but at this time she doesn’t have a name. Therefore, I have chosen to call her baby Hope and the volunteers need help with someone to sponsor this beautiful little girl. As a sponsor, you will make sure she eats daily and gets medication when she is sick. Baby Hope deserves to be happy and cared for, even though she has had a rough start to life. She is now in the care of volunteers, who want to help her live a long happy yet full life.
Meet Simon Mugerwa
This is Simon Mugerwa and he is five-year-old boy, who is one of our special orphaned children. Unfortunately, Simon lost his father in 2014 and his mother could no longer care for this handsome little boy. He is a happy little boy, who has dreams of being a doctor, so he wants to get an education. However, he needs a sponsor that can help him realize his dream, due to the required school fees. Simon loves to play with his friends at the orphanage, he loves the volunteers, and he enjoys riding his bicycle. Additionally, he loves watching cartoons and he is a very energetic little boy, who is full of love for everyone. Currently, he needs a sponsor that can help us get him into school, as well as helping with his daily needs like food and medication. Therefore take a moment to learn more about Simon and his friend baby Hope.

We are hoping to build a website and other ways to help you learn more about our orphanage. The children and I send much love, peace, and light to you all. May God bless you! © 2016, Crystal S. Jacksonville, FL. /Feb. 9, 2016- For six months now, William “Ruben” Ebron and Lonna Lauramore Barton stayed silent about what had happened to the precious blue eyed, blonde hair toddler named Lonzie Barton. According to ActionNewsJax, this vibrant and adorable toddler lost his life on July 23, 2015, when he was reported missing by Mr. Ebron. Then, the boyfriend and mother began lying immediately and the continued lying for the next six months.
According to Jacksonville.com, the police said Mr. Ebron claimed that someone stole his orange Honda Civic with a black hood. He claimed that Lonzie Barton was left in the car, while he admitted that he was inside his apartment using drugs. According to Jacksonville.com, Ruben Ebron has also claimed that the five-year-old sister got out of the car and came inside the apartment, just before the car was allegedly stolen. Police immediately proved he was lying and he was arrested promptly and soon after Lonna Barton was also arrested for two counts of child neglect and lying to police. However, six months later, we have learned that Lonna Barton has plead guilty in January 2016 to child neglect and lying to police. She was given up to a six years sentence and agreed to testify against Ruben Ebron at his trial. According to ActionNewsJax, Ruben began cooperating and led investigators to Lonzie’s body in the Bayard area and the investigator found the toddler under some tires. This innocent toddler won the hearts of the First Coast residents during the last six months. Unfortunately, the six months that went by before he was found, has made it difficult for the medical examiner to determine this toddler’s cause or time of death. According to News4Jax, little Lonzie did have fractures and broken ribs that were mending, which points to Little Lonzie being abused. Ruben was able to enter a sweetheart plea deal for aggravated manslaughter and he was sentenced to twenty years in a federal prison. Many of the residents of the First Coast community were stunned and angry with the plea deal he was given by District Attorney Angela Corey and other involved in this frustrating case. According to ActionNewsJax, Ruben pointed fingers at Lonna, because she put Lonzie in the bathtub and locked him in the bathroom. He admitted that they were having sexual relations in the other room, while Lonzie was drowning. According to ActionNewsJax, the couple found little Lonzie dead and they said that they panicked. No one has mentioned where the five-year-old sister was during little Lonzie’s death and her mom and boyfriend was having sexual relations. Mr. Ebron said Lonna knew Lonzie was dead before she went to work at Wackos Gentleman’s Club. According to News4Jax, co-workers say that she acted as if nothing had happened, while working as a stripper or exotic entertainer that night. According to FCN, this adorable toddler deserved better than being thrown away like trash, which is what ultimately what happened to this adorable little boy. According to News4Jax, this toddler never made it to two-years-old, because the adults around him didn’t put the child first. The adults could have called an ambulance and took whatever punishment would have been given to them for the drugs and child neglect. Instead, they just lied over and over about every detail of what happened to this toddler. However, according to WOKV, so far witnesses said Lonzie Barton had some type of head injury and that he looked pitiful right before he disappeared. Therefore, the First Coast residents are not convinced that Ruben Ebron is telling the truth. Additionally, Lonna and Ruben both know what happen to this vibrant toddler, which he may have told the truth. Mr. Ebron may not have told the entire truth, because of the reports of Lonzie’s head injury. If this was truly an accidental drowning, why did he throw little Lonzie away like he was just a piece of garbage? In addition, if Lonna Barton knew that her baby boy was truly dead; many First Coast residents wonder if she will face additional charges in this case. However, according to ActionNewsJax, currently, she is being in held Baker County on unrelated drug charges with Lonzie’s father Chris Barton. Many residents helped search for this beautiful toddler, actually believe there was no Justice for Lonzie Barton with the plea deals. According to News4Jax, this precious toddler fell through the cracks and he paid with his life, because everyone in his life failed to help him…even his own drug addicted mother! Baby Lonzie should be celebrating his second birthday and enjoying life, but instead he is waiting to be laid to rest. The witnesses and the family members could have possibly saved his life with one phone call to the proper authorities. May little Lonzie Barton rest in peace, but those who let him suffer will have to live with what they didn’t do to help this precious little boy. Kauffman, Contributing Writer Jacksonville, FL./February 1, 2016-A woman with severe brain injury is missing and has been for over six months now. The family is praying that she will come home soon, so they are trying to get the word out about her disappearance with pictures to share on Facebook and other social media venues. According to News4Jax, Michelle’s family reports her missing from the Riverside area of the First Coast on July 10th, 2015 after not hearing from her.
She was headed to the store according to her friends, but she never returned from the store and hasn’t been seen yet. The family has been desperately searching for the missing 49 year-old woman Gina “Michelle” Ennis. According to News4Jax (2015), she has not been seen since July 10th, 2015 when her friends said the she left their house on Stockton St. and Edison Ave. while heading to the store. Unfortunately, Michelle had a severe, yet traumatic brain injury in the late 1990’s. The doctors had surgically removed part of her frontal lobe of her brain. However, the family reported that procedure affected her judgment and her family thinks she could be vulnerable in her condition. According to New4Jax (2015), the family told the police about her brain injury, so they can help find out exactly what may have happened to her during her walk to the store. The family thinks that someone may be keeping her against her will and they just want her to come home. Michelle’s family members believe that she would never run away or disappear on her own, because she is a mother, grandmother, sister, and she is loved by many people. However, according to New4Jax (2015), she did live as a homeless person or transient before her sudden disappearance. Every few days, Michelle would call one of her family members and so far she has not reached out to anyone. Her family said she always carried her suitcase with her, but she didn’t take it when she left to walk to the store. Her family says Michelle has not and cannot drive, so her relatives are begging everyone to look for her in their own area of town. Her relatives are afraid that someone has either kidnapped her or she met with foul play. According to New4Jax (2015), Michelle’s friends and family are praying that she has not been thrown away like piece of household trash. If you have any information on this case or the whereabouts of Gina “Michelle” Ennis, then please call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or CrimeStoppers. The orphanage needs help with donations or clothing, children toys, coloring items, sport items, and other things children love to do. The orphanage needs cash donations, in order to feed the children and to give the medical care. I have included the orphanages legal paperwork, but feel free to learn more about this special place that is mentoring children. Sadly, these special children either have lost their parents to death or their parents just cannot care for them anymore. Fortunately, these children have a wonderful set of volunteers who have stepped in to care these amazing and resilient children. This orphanage is actually small and just starting out, so any help you can provide would help these volunteers care for these children. You can create shoe boxes full of personal hygiene items and maybe other things that may help the child thrive. Maybe, you could get your church or your co-workers involved, by donating your children’s old clothes and small toys. The children need unsung heroes and you could be that person for them, so take a moment to see how you can help these wonderful children and volunteers. You can also help spread the word, as well as find the Real Life Orphanage on Facebook. If you message them, someone will answer you, eventually when they get to the computer or phone that they use to communicate. Just seeing the pictures of these kids will tug at your heart as it has done mine. Therefore, take a moment to share this blog or see how you can help make these special children’s life better. Thank you! ©2016, Crystal S. Kauffman PS:LEGAL PAPERS By, Crystal S.. Kauffman, Contributing Writer January 12, 2016/Jacksonville, FL- The search for little Lonzie Barton turned to heartbreak and sadness today for the family of the adorable toddler, as well as the First Coast Community. In a press conference, Jacksonville’s Sheriff, Mike Williams stated that the investigators, “strongly believe that the human remains belong to Lonzie Barton” (FCN, 2016). According to JSO Chief of Investigations Tom Hackney, “Lonzie had been thrown away like a piece of garbage”.
The 21-month-old toddler has been missing for over six months, while Ruben Ebron and Lonna Lauramore Barton have been sitting in jail. Both suspects are facing two child neglect charges and lying to police. According to (FCN, 2016), the prime suspect in the case, Ruben Ebron and his lawyers led police to the toddler’s remains on the Southside of town on Snyder St. Sadly, police never searched this area during the initial massive search, but the searchers were only 2.5 miles from where the remains were found. The District Attorney, Angela Corey was also at the press conference and has requested that the First Coast Community give the law enforcement and legal communities’ time to answer the questions that everyone has in this case. According to (FCN, 2016), she announced that there may be more charges facing both of the two suspects, but is tight lipped about what the charges may be. As the remains are analyzed in the next few weeks and months, the truth may come out about how this adorable happy child ended up being thrown away like a piece of garbage. More updates to come. (ANTIMEDIA) San Bernardino National Forest — “The Story of Stuff Project, the California-based Courage Campaign Institute, and the Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit this week against the U.S. Forest Service for allowing Nestle to continue to bottle millions of gallons of water from the San Bernardino National Forest with a permit that expired 27 years ago,” the just-released press brief states. If you’ve been following the Anti-Media’s investigation (spurred by Ian James’ articles in The Desert Sun) into Nestle’s irresponsible tapping of Arrowhead Spring — and all the questionable circumstances surrounding that, including censorship by Reddit of our exposé articles — you have some idea how exciting the announcement of this lawsuit is. It continues: ““The groups are calling on the court to immediately shut down the pipeline and order the Forest Service to conduct a full permitting process that includes environmental reviews. “In 2014 alone an estimated 28 million gallons were piped away from the forest to be bottled and sold under Nestle’s Arrowhead brand of bottled water. The permit expired in 1988, but the piping system remains in active use, siphoning about 68,000 gallons of water a day out of the forest last year.” And Nestle’s interim, unofficial “arrangement” for continuing this practice includes an annual fee the company has faithfully paid all of those 27 years — totaling $524 -- “less than the average Californian’s water bill,” as the lawsuit notes. “We Californians have dramatically reduced our water use over the past year in the face of an historic drought, but Nestle has refused to step up and do its part,” said Executive Director of the Story of Stuff Project, Michael O’Heaney, in the press release. “Until the impact of Nestle’s operation is properly reviewed, the Forest Service must turn off the spigot.” Throughout the investigation, the sorest thumb had also been the most obfuscated by other issues — Nestle and the Forest Service’s absurdly questionable legality for actions performed without a valid permit. It seems many have similar suspicions — as Eddie Kurtz, Executive Director of Courage Campaign Institute, stated in the press brief: “Nestle’s actions aren’t just morally bankrupt, they are illegal. In the spring, we asked Nestle to do the right thing, and they threw it back in our faces, telling Californians they’d take more of our water if they could. The U.S. Forest Service has been enabling Nestle’s illegal bottling in the San Bernardino Forest for 27 years, and it has to stop. Our government won’t stand up to them, so we’re taking matters into our own hands.” Stop. Take a moment to re-read just that last sentence. With countless issues from censorship to war challenging us every hour of every day, even the strongest among us sometimes question whether our efforts are accomplishing anything — is this worth it? It might only be a single step forward after over a year of fighting, but this lawsuit is a clear indication that perseverance against any apparent brick wall is always still worth it when your convictions are on the line. Several dedicated individuals have committed countless hours behind the scenes to keep the Nestle issue in the public eye — so, for now, this lawsuit offers at least a moment to breathe. Margaret Mead famously summarized exactly this scenario: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” There will be more information about the Nestle issue to come, including video, interviews, and a number of highly questionable aspects that haven’t been discussed anywhere else. Kauffman, Contributing Writer ![]() Baby Jane Doe was found on June 25, 2015, on the western shore of Deer Island and police turned to social media to help find out who her identity. She has a name that means beauty and her name is Bella Neveah Amoroso Bond, but she was murdered by those she loved. According to CNN.com, Police have arrested her and her mother’s boyfriend Michael McCarthy 35 for murder and her mother Rachelle Bond 40 for accessory after the fact. Baby Bella’s biological father never met her, yet Joseph Amoroso is defending the mother. He believes that the mother Rachelle would have never harmed Bella purposely, but she did nothing to protect her daughter when her boyfriend beat the life out of Bella. According to The Examiner, she had a month while the poor lifeless body of Bella Bond sat in her mother’s refrigerator to turn him in to police. Rachelle helped McCarthy cover up the murder of her baby girl and she helped move the body. According to The Examiner, Rachelle has a criminal record with the law for possession of heroin and prostitution, as well as a history with Department of Children and Families (DCF). The mother Rachelle had two other children that were permanently placed in different homes and she lost her parental rights to these children. In addition, DCF had contact with Bella as an infant and her mother Rachelle in 2012 and 2013, but the cased was quickly closed and DCF has had no contact since. According to the The Inquisitr, Bella was beat to death, because she was supposedly a child of Satan and she was possessed. Bella’s was 2 ½ years old and short life was full of misery, while living with a drug addicted mother and her mother’s boyfriend who had drug or mental problems. However, both suspects are pointing there finger at each other, but Bella’s mother says that McCarthy punched her in the stomach until she was lifeless. According to The Inquisitr, the mother told everyone that DCF took her sometime in June, in order to cover up what they had done to this beautiful baby girl. Bella had a right to feel safe in her own home, but instead she was abused and beaten to death by someone she loved. She should have been protected by her mother, yet she did nothing to stop the abuse or the child’s violent death. Rachelle lied to everyone about where Bella was and at anytime, she could have called the police to tell the truth but she did not. Kauffman, Contributing Writer ![]() Jacksonville, FL-Little Lonzie Barton have been missing for almost two months now, but the key suspects in his sudden disappearance are keeping their mouth shut. The suspects who police have arrested are William “Ruben” Ebron and his mother Lonna Lauramore Barton. According to Jacksonville.com, little Lonzie’s mother, Lonna has plead not guilty in court for two charges of child neglect and one count of lying to police throughout the investigation. According to Fox30Jax, Chris Barton’s Aunt, Shirley Barton believes Lonna was involved in what happened to little Lonzie. She says Lonna is ‘evil’ and the family is upset that the children’s father, Chris Barton would help his estranged wife bond out of jail. The toddler’s father is standing by his estranged wife, because he believe that she has had no involvement in little Lonzie’s disappearance. Lonzie’s mother was separated from her husband, Chris Barton, at the time of little Lonzie’s disappearance and she was dating Ruben. However, her estranged husband believes that Lonna Barton had nothing to do with little Lonzie’s disappearance. According to News4Jax, a witness was angry as little Lonzie’s mother did the ‘happy dance’ as she was being released from jail. So far, little Lonzie has not been found and police are building a murder case against William ‘Ruben’ Ebron. According to First Coast News.com, former State Attorney Harry Shorstein spoke to a FCN reporter after little Lonzie Barton had been missing about a week. Attorney Shorstein is not part of the Lonzie Barton case, but explained that the toddler’s body is not needed for prosecuting this case. However, he also knows that it will be a difficult task for the assigned prosecutors, because they must prove that the suspects have been lying since day one. Many people believe the mother knows more than she is saying, but at this point she is not talking to anyone. According to One News Page.com , an audio recording surfaced that revealed Lonna L. Barton talking with a friend about using drugs and about Ebron involvement in Lonzie’s disappearance. Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has this secret recording and it is now part of their investigation into little Lonzie’s disappearance. This case started when this adorable blonde-haired, blue-eyed toddler and his five-year-old sister were left in the care of the mother’s boyfriend William ‘Ruben’ Ebron. The mother Lonna was working at Wacko’s as an exotic dancer. Ebron took her to work and later texted her to find a ride home, which she found with a co-worker. According to News4Jax, Lonna’s coworker gave her ride home and she stated that the mother’s actions were odd and suspicious. She was living in a one bedroom apartment with Ebron and the two children at the Ravenwood Apartments located at 8030 South Old Kings Rd. According to Jacksonville.com, on July 24th, 2015, Ebron reported his car stolen with the toddler in it. Ebron told investigators that his car was stolen with the toddler sleeping inside of it, but the police found the car a few blocks away and Lonzie was not inside the car. According to News4Jax, a video surfaced that showed Ebron was lying and police arrested Ebron immediately. At first, the police made the mother seem like she was a victim, who was distraught over the loss of her missing son. From the moment police met Lonzie’s mother that night, she instantly began telling a series of lies. According to News4Jax, she told police that she didn’t know her apartment number and she didn’t know Ebron. Police discovered throughout the investigation the Ebron was a drug dealer and that Lonzie’s mother lived with Ebron. Police say she knew he stored and sold drugs that were stored in an unlocked location, which put both of the small children in harm’s way. Later, through more intense investigations and witnesses that knew Lonna, actually told police about a tattoo that Lonna had on her side that read …‘Ruben’. According to News4Jax, on Aug. 18, 2015, police arrested Lonna Lauramore Barton for lying to police and two counts of child neglect, but more charges may follow. Police say they have dealt with nothing but lies from the mother Lonna and Ebron, since the 911 call came in the early hours of July 24th, 2015. Unfortunately, both parties have lied from the very beginning of the investigation, which has police frustrated and wanting justice for little Lonzie Barton. According to WOKV, little Lonzie had a bruise to the back on his head by his ear, he was lethargic, vomiting, and he had yellow fluid coming from his ear. His mother went to work, instead of rushing the injured child to the hospital. Additionally, she had a heated argument with Ebron, but still left both minor children with him. The investigators are piecing together a murder investigation against Ebron, because little Lonzie deserves justice and a proper burial. If the mother had a part in this crime, the investigators will charge her as well as Ebron. Right now, police are still asking everyone to pray, so they can find this adorable boy’s body. These new developments have broken the hearts of many in the First Coast community, who have helped search for this toddler. According to First Coast News.com, after being missing for almost two months now, the police have search on a massive scale and private parties have also searched for this toddler. A week after little Lonzie went missing the police shifted from a search rescue mission to a recovery mission. According to First Coast New.com, Little Lonzie is a distant cousin to Haleigh Cummings, due the mother’s side of the family. Haleigh went missing and had never been found up to this day, even after gaining national headlines. Recently, Lonna and Chris Barton were arrested on felony drug charges after selling drugs to an undercover cop. According to First Coast News.com, both Chris Barton and Lonna Barton were being watched by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office for several weeks now. According the spokesman, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s was not involved in this arrest or drug dealing investigation. Now, the judge are requesting the each suspect take drug tests, as well as setting a high bond for each suspect. Little Lonzie is missing, presumably he is dead but both parents have a drug problem and they chose to continue getting high. According to First Coast News.com, the boyfriend Ruben has tried to escape and has made threatening calls, but police are asking him to come clean about the toddler’s whereabouts. So, as these parents keep making bad choices, the police can only hope that someone will break and finally reveal where little Lonzie is buried. That morning their plane was hijacked by terrorists who were coordinating a surprise attack on America. Several passengers and crew attempted to take the plane back from the terrorists, once they learned about the previous attacks that had already happened that dreadful morning.
Two planes were used to attack both of the World Trade Centers or Twin Towers in New York and the third plane was used to attack the Pentagon in Virginia. Some federal officials believe that United Flight 93 was going to attack the United States Capitol Building in Washington DC. However, the brave actions of the passengers and crew caused the hijackers to abort their plan of attack. Instead, they crashed the plane in a rural area, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Now, ten years later, the site of the crash has become a national park and a memorial to the heroes that fought back and all who lost their life. A 17 ton boulder now marks the spot where the plane crashed at 10:03 a.m. killing 182 passengers and 7 crew members. The beautiful memorial for United Flight 93 has been built for the tenth anniversary, but a spokesman stated that they needed 10 million dollars to completely finish it. According to Bliss, some businesses or corporations has stated that they cannot give to the United Flight 93 memorial, because it doesn't fit the rules governed by their company. However, the memorial which is called "Tower of Voices" needs more donations, in order to be completed correctly. President Clinton has vowed to help the family raise the money that is needed; however everyday citizens can help as well. Take time to visit the website and give a dollar or even few dollars, because every donation will help the families complete the memorial. Honestly, if ten million people donated a dollar, the visitor center will be completed as planned. This center will serve as a reminder of the tragic yet heroic events that took place on that fateful day. Don't let these heroes be forgotten, just because the plane didn't hit a national landmark like the other planes did. Kauffman, Contributing Writer Jacksonville, FL., Little Lonzie Barton was reported missing early Friday morning at 2:19 AM on July 24, 2015. Now, four weeks later, according to News4Jax, police have arrested Lonzie’s mother Lonna Lauramore for one count of lying to police and two counts of child neglect. The toddler and his 5 year-old sister was left in the care of Lonna’s live-in boyfriend Ruben Ebron, who reported his car stolen with the toddler still inside of it.
Police scrambled to find little Lonzie, but they still have not found this toddler after a wide spread search and an AMBER ALERT. Mr. Ebron was arrested on July 24, 2015 on two counts of child neglect and one count of lying to police was just recently added. According to News4Jax, the police have stated that both the mother and her live-in boyfriend have been lying, since the moment the police answered the 911 call. The night of his disappearance, Lonna told police that she didn’t know Ruben Ebron. However, police learned that she lives with him and recently they learned that she has a huge tattoo on her side with Ruben’s name. Additionally, police said she lived in one bedroom apartment with both kids and Mr. Ebron, who bought and sold drugs to pay the bills. Police remain convinced that Mr. Ebron has murdered the child and they are looking for a body, due to new evidence that has emerged. According to WOKV, a third party told police that little Lonzie had a bruise on the back of his head and he had yellow stuff draining out of his ears. The witness also stated that the toddler was lethargic and may have needed medical care for his injuries. However, Lonna got into a heated argument with Mr. Ebron, but he never gave her a satisfactory answer on how Lonzie obtained these injuries. Then, instead of taking Lonzie to the hospital for his injuries, police say she left the two children in Mr. Ebron’s care. She had him drop her off at Wacko’s, where she worked as an exotic dancer and he had both children at that time. According to News4Jax, the coworker stated that the mother’s actions were odd and suspicious. After work, she asked a coworker drop her off at home, but the coworker said she wanted to be dropped off at a different apartment complex off Old Kings Rd. Additionally, she asked the coworker to take her to a place where someone owed her money. According to News4Jax, the police saw her coworker’s car and he asked them questions, which is when the officer learned that Lonna was the missing toddler’s mother. This is when police say, Lonna began immediately lying to the investigators and the coworker confronted her when they were alone. The coworker felt she was not acting like a distraught mother, whose child has just been reported missing. According to News4Jax, the coworker stated that Lonna Lauramore Barton didn’t get upset, instead she starting acting odd. The coworker said she seemed to be consoling Mr. Ebron, instead of freaking out about the toddler’s disappearance. Police are building a murder case against Mr. Ebron, because they believe that he murdered the toddler and they believe that he has the answers to where the toddler’s body is located. After an exhaustive search for over a week, police are still no closer to finding this adorable 21 month-old little boy. According to News4Jax, the police are hoping someone has information that will help them find this missing toddler and bring his body home. Furthermore, Crimestoppers is offering a reward for any tips or information that will lead them to recovering Lonzie’s remains. According to MSN.com, the complaint maintains that Nick Gordon was on partying all night with alcohol and cocaine on Jan 31, 2015. After coming home, he began watching videos of Bobbi Kristina and even eavesdropped on her conversations. An argument ensued between Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon that started in the kitchen, but eventually moved to living-room area and the master bedroom.
According to MSN.com, Nick Gordon accused Bobbi Kristina of being unfaithful to him, as well as called her derogatory names that were considered mental abuse. The couple’s argument continued for about 30 minutes, but then everything was suddenly quiet. Kauffman, Contributing Writer Sunday- July 26th, 2015- According to AFP, Bobbi Kristina Brown died at age 22, after being found unconscious in her bathtub at her Roswell, GA. Home. She was found submerged face down in her bath tub on January 21st, 2015, by Nick Gordon and Max Lomas. No one is sure how long she was submerged in the water, but she was placed in a medical coma soon after being placed in the hospital. She never regained consciousness after six months, so recently the Brown and Houston families agreed to place her in a hospice care faculty.
The families put their differences aside and remained by her side, until she took her last breath on Sunday. She is the only child of powerhouse singer Whitney Houston and pop singer Bobby Brown, who raised her beneath their loving wings. According to AFP, celebrities stopped by the funeral, while friends and family came to pay their respects to this beloved young woman. However, even at the funeral these two families cannot stop feuding, so I boxing gloves are going to be tightened when it comes to Bobbi Kristina’s estate. Nick Gordon is three years older than Bobbi Kristina, but Whitney Houston raised him just like he was her own child. According to USA Today, Nick and Bobbi Kristina had a fight and later that morning she found in bathtub with face swollen and a missing tooth. Nick claimed they were married, but they were never legally married and the allegations of him abusing Bobby Kristina have infuriated the family. The family had an injunction placed against him, so he could not visit Bobbi Kristina and they stopped his access to her money. The police want to know how one of her teeth got knocked out and why she had bruises and a swollen face. According to USA Today, the District Attorney in Fulton County is looking into the case from an investigative standpoint. However, Nick is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from Bobbi Kristina’s estate on the same day that she was found unresponsive in the bathtub. However, Bobbi Kristina is now at peace and she has been reunited with her mother Whitney Houston. Whitney Houston was also found dead in a bathtub of an overdose about three years ago, but Bobbi Kristina didn’t have drugs in her system. Many people have said that the circumstances between the two deaths are strangely frightening. However, according to Black Media Scoop, the family is asking for privacy and prayers while they say a final good-bye to their loved one. Bobby Brown stayed by his daughter’s side and he is utterly devastated by losing his little girl. Hopefully, each family member can find peace amongst themselves in the wake of the beautiful young woman’s tragic death. According to ABC, Bobbi Kristina was laid to rest next to her mother in Westfield, New Jersey. At this time, the investigation into her death is still open, so hopefully there will be some tough questions answered as the case moves forward. For now, the family just wants to mourn privately, while cherishing every moment they spent with Bobbi Kristina. According to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an AMBER ALERT has been issued for Lonzie Barton, a 21-month-old Jacksonville, FL. Toddler. He was reported missing on July 24th, 2015 around 2:00 AM, by the mother’s boyfriend and he also reported his car missing. That morning, little Lonzie and his 5-year-old sister was in the care of his mom’s boyfriend, William Ruben Ebron. The toddler went missing from the 8000 block of Old Kings Rd and police need the public’s help to find him.
His car was a 1995 orange Honda with a black hood, but the car was eventually found four blocks away from the apartments. However, the toddler was not inside the car and the police fear that the boyfriend knows more than he is telling them. Little Lonzie was only wearing a diaper at the time of his disappearance, but police are concerned that he may have just walked off from the car. According to Jacksonville.com, the police are asking everyone to look on their properties and keep a look out for this blonde hair blue eyed toddler. The police are searching for the toddler on foot and with search dogs, as well as other agencies that have offered their services. The police say that the natural parents are victims and not considered suspects, but Mr. Ebron was charged with two counts of child neglect on Friday, which was unrelated to this case. However, he was on bond from a prior case from Baker County and he had a record of different types of charges like: armed robbery, grand theft auto, possession, domestic violence, and violation of probation. According toJacksonville.com, one of the conditions of his bond was that he was not supposed to have contact or live with Lonna Lauramore. The couple was living together in the Ravenwood apartments at 8030 South Old Kings Rd. The mother and father are working closely with police to help find their son. According toJacksonville.com, both the mother and the boyfriend face drug related charges, which is separate from the toddler’s disappearance. The mother’s boyfriend, Mr. Ebron told the police that he stopped by the apartment to “get something”, but later he admitted that he went inside to “use cocaine”. The police verified that the mother was working at the time her young son went missing, while in the care of her boyfriend. According to Gray, the police say that the mother’s boyfriend is now considered a suspect and may have been lying about the car being stolen. Unfortunately, both children were left alone inside the car by Mr. Ebron, but the 5-year-old sister got frightened and left the toddler in the car by himself. The police believe that Mr. Ebron has the answers, which they need to find the missing toddler. The investigation has turned from a missing child to a possible homicide investigation. Police are now focusing on searching waterways, retention ponds, and wooded areas. If you have seen this child, call 911 immediately! A little girl was found on June 25, 2015, on the western shore of Deer Island, she is yet to be identified. She was found dead on Massachusetts Beach in a trash bag with her zebra striped blanket and white leggings with black polka dots. (Source: CNN) Police are asking everyone to look around the social events like: school, church, neighborhood, parties, birthday parties, or even day care activities. Look for a child that is missing, which is usually with a parent or guardian that attends these functions. Police estimate that the little girl is about four-years-old. She is described as having brown eyes and long brown hair in a computer generated photo that is being distributed by police on social media. Police say millions have shared her image among their social media sites, but they need more help sharing her image. Please call in your tip, because it is better to be wrong than to be right…in this situation! Police are asking for the public’s help in finding out who this Baby Jane Doe is. She is described as being about 3 ½ ft. tall and she weighed about 30 lbs. at the time of her death. [Source: CNN] Police are hoping to identify this beautiful child and find out exactly what happened to her. Police are hoping that this information can help jog someone’s memory, so police are encouraging people to share Jane Doe’s information. Additionally, they are asking people to notify the Massachusetts authorities and/or Boston Police Department. So, far no missing persons reports of any child missing in that area has been reported. The police decided to release the computerized image of the toddler, because it may help someone remember this child. The items found with her are just as important, because it will lead the investigation in to this child’s death. Please keep sharing her information, become someone you know, may be the key to getting justice for this child. Police find it hard that a parent doesn’t know their child is missing, unless it is a situation where a parent would not know. This may have been an accident, but police are waiting on toxicology report to come back to see if she was poisoned or had drugs in her system. So, if you are her parents, then speak up because she deserves to have a name and police are waiting to talk with you. Police say that she is not Aalyiah Lunsford, the toddler that has been missing since 2011 from the West Virginia area. Please share this and her picture, until this child has a name and someone that misses her! by Richard Rowell, Staff Writer As someone who worked for a number of years in the lumber & building materials industry, I am well aware of the struggle between LBM Dealer & Builders Assocations and OSHA. The government has been taking a lot of flak recently for reducing the funds for education of preventing occupational hazards and instead funneling that money into enforcement. The exorbitant fines for non-compliance are only growing and not actually solving the problems.
I am not against OSHA. The entire concept of OSHA is a good one, a government-funded organization meant to protect workers and their health in the workplace. The new proposed Crystalline Silica Rule is actually nothing new - they are simply working to make it much more stricter. You could say this is just another money grab. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) would have you think so. They say that "the rule would cost between $3 billion and $4 billion, nationally, in lost personal income and would eliminate between 60,000 and 130,000 jobs." Um, what? Then they said: "For a 10-employee residential remodeling firm, the cost of the proposed rule would be approximately $35,000, or about $3,500 per employee. Costs vary by industry and firm size." (Source: NARI on the Hill) OK, wait a minute. Why the hell would the US Government purposely sabotage remodeling companies? That is preposterous. We're in a struggling economy and the Government wants to ruin one of the few industries that is currently growing? I don't know about you, but that sounds awfully fishy to me. To be even more fair, the rule won't affect all that many remodeling companies. We're talking about job-sites where concrete, stone, and brick are heavily involved. We're talking mostly about commercial projects here. Your everyday home remodeler or builder will see only minimal new regulations, and if they're properly educated about them, everything should be fine. It would also be nice if the silly Government instead of fining people to death offered incentives to people to buy proper safety equipment in the first place! Fall Protection is the major issue OSHA has been focusing on and why shouldn't they? Too many contractors don't follow the rules, and even more sub-contractors break the rules and screw over the contractors. The bad apples deserve to be caught and fined because they're putting their innocent blue-collar workers lives at risk! The problem is, as I've said, is the whole lack of education. IT's the policymakers in Washington that are the problem, not the people working at OSHA that actually are looking out for the good of the workers. This rule is not being forced on us. Just like any other proposed rule, it's going through a public referendum. Of course, the general public wants people to be safe! Don't we all? And it's not like the known dangers of particulate crystalline silica are something new; we've known about them since the early part of the 20th century! I guess we haven't come all that far in 75 years, have we? So where the hell is NARI getting these numbers? From "comments submitted by OSHA's Small Business Review Panel." Not facts. Comments. What does OSHA have to say about the rule? It will have economic benefits! "The proposed rule is estimated to provide average net benefits of about $2.8 to $4.7 billion annually over the next 60 years. It is expected to result in annual costs of about $1,242 for the average workplace covered by the rule. The annual cost to a firm with fewer than twenty employees would be less, averaging about $550. The proposed rule is expected to have no discernible impact on total U.S. employment." (Source: OSHA Fact Sheet) Annual costs of about a thousand dollars a year for the average workplace. A measly thousand dollars. Plus, you're benefiting the economy by stimulating the sales of safety equipment and providing new jobs to educate the bosses and workers in the new rule. Then, the second part, the majority of the NARI membership, those firms with twenty or fewer employees: they'd pay about $550 a year. OK, these are averages, I know. But do you see what I see here? There's a slight disparity betweena loss of 3 or 4 billion dollars and a net gain of 3 to 5 billion dollars. OK, well where is the benefit going, you ask? Yeah, probably the government. I get it. But if you look at the proposed rule, I don't see how it's going to cost an ordinary remodeler $35,000 a year. I have no idea where the hell NARI is getting their numbers from. You know what I think? It's conservatives versus liberals again. I think the truth of the matter is somewhere in between, although I will trust a GOV site far more than I'd ever trust "comments" by a "review panel." People need to wake up and realize the real problem... If we were educated in the things that we should already be doing in the first place, which was the entire purpose of what OSHA was intended for in its creation, we wouldn't be having these problems! But as usual, the policy makers in Washington just see OSHA as another way to fine people to create income for our irresponsible politicians to waste more money. It's not OSHA that's the problem. It's the government and the people that follow special interest groups like sheep. Do I beleive everything I read? Of course not. But I urge you to look at both sides. You should write to your Congress-people. NARI is right on that. But you should write to them to inspire education and benefits to those that follow the rules. People like being rewarded. You'll spend about the same amount of money and less companies will go out of business. You'll stimulate the economy even further by helping companies provide needed building and remodeling services and fewer people will lose their lives or their health from things that are easily preventable. Simple solution, huh? They'll never take it. But you can try to propose it. Heck, OSHA is wide open to suggestions. They actually care. It's the ones that control their budgets that don't. Stay educated and never believe what you read in a newsletter. Photo credit: Wikimedia Commons user Jamain

Controversy over a report about marriage between a 15-year-old female and a 70-year-old male in Saudi Arabia has led to speculation about age differences in marriage in the United States. Even in the recent past, commenters point out, it was legal for American minors to marry legal adults.
It is technically possible for a 15-year-old to marry a 70-year-old in New Jersey – although it is highly unlikely that a court official would approve the arrangement. Age of consent in New Jersey In New Jersey,it is legal for a 16 or 17-year-old to marry with parental consent. According to the official literature posted by the State of New Jersey Department of Health, both individuals must: “Be at least 18 years of age, except that applicants under the age of 18 may enter into a Marriage with parental consent. Applicants under the age of 16 must obtain parental consent and have the consent approved in writing by any judge of the Superior Court, Chancery Division, Family part.” There are additional laws that affect everyone wishing to get married in New Jersey, including minors: · There is a 72-hour waiting period for everyone wishing to marry in the state. · Once obtained, the marriage license is valid for a month. · Nonresidents can marry in New Jersey and are still subject to the license requirements and waiting period. This has to be one of the lowest of low acts one can commit. A Chinese man has sued his wife for giving birth to ugly children. Yes, he actually called his own children ugly – and was rewarded for doing so.
Reportedly, he was awarded the equivalent of $120,000 USD on the basis that his wife had plastic surgery before they married and didn’t tell him. He claims he was deceived into believing she was beautiful and that because of this deception, the children ended up being ugly. This is ridiculous in my opinion. While I don’t promote plastic surgery (I advocate for natural beauty), I still don’t believe this is fair. First off, who calls their own children ugly just to get some money? I’m sorry but I’m not going to insult my own children just to gain a monetary reward of some sort. I don’t get that part at all. Secondly, what gives him the right to determine what she does with her own body and looks? And exactly how is it deceptive on her part to birth so-called ugly children? I’ve given birth four times and not one of those times have I ever been able to determine exactly how my children would look when they came out. Thirdly, looks are a matter of perspective. I am disgusted that a court actually made a ruling that basically says these kids are ugly. Whether intentional or not, a ruling like this essentially says that it’s okay for a man to dictate what a woman does with her own body, as well as reject the appearance of his own children. As if humans didn’t disappoint me enough when I read about the mockery of a dead homeless man, I had to see this story as well. When will people learn that beauty (which is subjective) or another superficial label does not make the person? When will they learn to see people for who they truly are and accept them as they are, rather than trying to mold them into specific “ideals?” Perhaps if people didn’t pull stunts like these and objectify women so much in other ways, this woman would not have felt the need to have the plastic surgery to begin with. I wonder if this man thought about that while he was judging the way his own children looked on the outside. I wonder if he knows them for who they really are. |
